The Story of How a Supplement Changed My Health

Attached is a relatively long video about my journey with the Opti-Greens 50. If you don’t want to watch my weird facial expressions and such, I will also say it all on here as well.

I started with how supplements are not necessary in health but they can help tremendously. The Opti-Greens 50 changed my health game and fitness game. It has been 3 weeks since I started consuming them morning before breakfast and in the evening before dinner. 2 scoops with about 10oz of water.

I have a memory that haunts me a bit and reminds me how amazing these are. I was a competitive bodybuilder for a little while and when I decided that I no longer wanted to live that life, my body and mind were not in a good place. I gained a good amount of weight due to binge eating and I figured it was from being so restrictive during prep and it would pass. But I was wrong. It followed me and I would go to the store and buy anything and everything that caught my eye: donut holes, snack cakes, Oreos, honey buns..... all the sweets. And I would binge eat all of it until I was so upset and felt so sick!

When I moved to Arizona, things started improving and I started to get a better handle on my diet and the weight very slowly started coming off. But I was still having 1-2 days per week where I just couldn’t stand feeling hungry and I would search my work to see what was there to binge along with having times I would stop by the store on the way driving home to fimd something to stuff my face with.

I was talking to my husband and was telling him that I knew it was a problem, he did not really see it the way I did and he thought that I was just eating a few treats and then feeling bad about it... but I was eating way more than he could ever imagine. So we thought about the fact that maybe my body was craving all this stuff because it was crying for help. It was wanting something that I obviously was not giving it and I could not figure out what it needed.

I had been debating starting a greens supplement because I was not sure how much it would help me. I looked into company after company to see what one I really thought I could connect with. After literally months of debating, I knew that I would never have the answer about how it could benefit me unless I tried it. It was often on my mind and I figured there was a reason that I couldn’t get it off my mind and I had to just do it. So the day came where I went to where my favorite supplements are and HAD to go with 1st Phorm. The answer was so obvious....... They are the best, but I will go into that in another post.

The day before I started the Opti-Greens 50 a patient brought some food in for the nurses and I was encouraged to take a loaf of lemon cranberry pound cake home for my husband and myself to enjoy.... and I will be so honest..... I drove home and consumed at least half of that cake on the journey home. And then I went to my OrangeTheory Fitness class trying to act like I could either just work it off or use it for extra fuel. My body was upset and not functioning the way that I wanted it to. I was mentally upset that I let myself to that to my body. That was one of the worst workout I had in a long time.

So  to start, I cannot say that this is a miracle product or that it changed my body composition overnight and I woke up with 6 pack abs, but something in my body changed after my first time consuming this product. My cravings were gone and I did not seek out food. I felt content with the lunches that I was bringing from home again and I was feeling balanced. 3 Weeks since the day I began and I have not had one episode where I binge ate anything. I have had a few treats here and there but never went back for more. So once again.... not a miracle... but I filled a gap that no matter what I did, I could not properly fill without the Opti-Greens 50!

So let’s touch base a bit on the greens themself! They are a blend of 50 hand picked ingredients that are made to fill the gaps in nutrition. It is said that your body needs between 5-10 full servings of vegetables a day. I LOVE vegetables and I know that I was not hitting this! That is a lot of vegetables! In ONE day?!

There are 4 main components of the Opti-Greens 50: A blend of  Biotanical Superfoods, phytonutrients, digestive enzymes, and probiotics.

The Superfood complex is a mix of 8 organic grasses and greens that have the proper vitamins and minerals that can be found in a 2 oz shot of green juice. This also balances out the pH of the body.

The phytonutrients are pretty much just antioxidents; carotenoids and bioflavonoids to be exact! These assist with the removal of tissue damaging radicals that are in the body. There are also components that work as anti-inflammatories  and can assist with removing joint pain.

There is a plant enzyme blend and probiotic blend that aid in the absorption of the nurtients from the other food that is eaten throughout the day. These together assist with digestion and increase energy as a well as regulate bowel movements.

All together these work together to find a homeostasis within the body making the body primed for growing in health and in fitness.
